Am I liable if a referral goes bad — the agent does a terrible job or the deal falls apart?

As a referral agent, your liability is extremely limited. You are not representing the client, not providing advice, and not involved in the transaction. The receiving agent and their brokerage bear the liability for the transaction itself.

That said, our concierge team vets every receiving agent to protect your reputation and the client experience. We want your referrals to have great experiences so they refer more people to you.
